From June 26-28, SIGEP Asia 2024 transformed Singapore’s Sands Expo & Convention Centre into a bustling hub for the bakery, pastry, coffee, and gelato sectors, drawing over 11,000 professionals from 93 countries and regions. This event was more than just a rebrand—it marked the inaugural SIGEP Asia under new organizer IEG Asia Pte. Ltd. and highlighted the latest industry innovations. Attendees included business owners, procurement managers, chefs, and international buyers eager to form industry connections. Running alongside Restaurant Asia, co-organized with the Restaurant Association of Singapore, and co-located with Specialty Food & Drinks Asia and Specialty Coffee & Tea Asia, the event offered a comprehensive look into food and beverage industry trends and opportunities.

Addressing Networking Challenges and Goals

SIGEP Asia 2024 focused on fostering valuable industry connections and facilitating knowledge exchange through insightful panel discussions, engaging product showcases, and hands-on workshops. With goals to elevate networking efficiency and expand international engagement, the event faced challenges typical of large-scale gatherings. Managing and scheduling hundreds of meetings posed logistical complexities, and as the event’s new organizer, IEG Asia aimed to surpass the performance metrics of prior editions.

Jublia’s Web App enhanced the attendees’ experience by allowing them to explore the event agenda and sessions ahead of time. They could bookmark their favorite sessions and schedule meetings in advance, enabling them to customize their event days for maximum efficiency. This user-friendly interface not only facilitated direct connections between buyers and exhibitors but also utilized AI to suggest compatible matches, streamlining the networking process even further.

On-site, Jublia’s Native App and Scan feature were essential tools in promoting meaningful and efficient interactions.Thanks to helpful, personalized suggestions and over 27,000 views of the agenda and sessions, attendees were able to stay engaged and informed throughout the event. Additionally, the lead scanner provided exhibitors with a way to capture, manage, and follow up on valuable lead data instantly, streamlining post-event outreach.

Measuring Success: Engagement and Satisfaction Metrics

The success of SIGEP Asia 2024 was evident in the strong metrics and positive attendee feedback. With rising attendance and record engagement, the event achieved exceptional year-over-year growth in networking outcomes.The enthusiasm for the event was reflected in a CSAT score of 4 out of 5 for on-site satisfaction, showcasing how the seamless integration of event technology elevated the attendees’ experience.
