Join our newsletter for the inside scoop on Jublia and the events industry
Lately, many of our partners and clients have faced disruptions to their Live Event plans, and we take this matter personally. In fact, we’ve made it our primary responsibility to assist every single event organiser to digitize. We’re not asking you to consider jumping on the bandwagon — we’re telling you to own new virtual and hybrid formats for events to come.
The truth is, just because your Live Event can’t take place doesn't mean your event can’t exist. The need for business networking and meaningful content discovery has never been higher.
Jublia powered the 1-to-1 meetings and content discovery for a US-based Energy Summit (who have requested to stay anonymous), as we’ve been doing consistently for the other events achieving great results. Post-registration, attendees were meaningfully engaged by our team of engagement specialists leading up to the actual Live Event. The aim has always been for people to attend the event with a curated list of pre-scheduled meetings, alongside pre-selected sessions to take part in.
That all changed when the State gave a ruling, barring all mass gatherings. This obviously threw our client into disarray. Contracts had been signed. Sponsors had already done up their booths and physical event banners. The venues were booked weeks in advance. Food and drink had also been pre-catered. Now what..?
On that fateful day, we received a call from a rather anxious Event Director telling us that Murphy’s law was hitting them hard. There were over 400 1-to-1 meetings booked — this was the pride and glory of the show and what majority of the attendees were paying good money for. The organiser was at a dead end and reached out to us for a solution.
Within 24 hours, a day before the actual event, Jublia converted the entire Live Event into a Virtual Event.
What happened behind the scenes is often unknown to most. At Jublia, we employ an agile working culture that allows our team to move nimbly and with speed (not haste, because everyone knows haste makes waste). On top of that, we have a transparent communication channel with our client (as we do with all of the events we partner), which allows us to get first-hand information on problems the moment they arise.
We‘ve also noticed that attendees are generally very receptive to the change of format — from Live to Virtual. In fact, they are often grateful for out-of-the-box pivots that show a sincere interest in their well-being and business objectives. A cancelled event equals loss of business which is a definite lose-lose situation for all parties. Being able to execute the transformation so quickly means a great deal to everyone on the Jublia team. We want to thank all of our clients who have taken a leap of faith and trusted us to deliver.
If you are in dire need to make the switch from Live Events to Virtual Events (or even to Hybrid Events) we’re here for you. Reach out to us anytime at info@jublia.com or talk to any member of our team that you’re in touch with. You do not have to go through this alone.
