Meeting Matters successfully organized a geoscience conference in its 20th annual edition. The event, which was held in Singapore from July 31 to August 4, gathered around 3,000 global participants from 43 countries and regions. It provided a unique opportunity to exchange scientific knowledge and discussion to address important geo-scientific issues among academia, research institutions, and the public.
Jublia was proud to facilitate the meeting programme, supporting the event with our 360° Engagement.
Onsite navigation has consistently posed challenges during live events, for both organizers and participants. A particularly challenging aspect is the transition between meetings and sessions, which often necessitates individuals to search for the next meeting location, consuming their time and energy in the process.
Recognizing the dynamic nature of the situation, the event organizer thoughtfully addressed this issue by designating a spacious central hall for all attendee meetings. This decision was met with enthusiastic approval from attendees as it eliminated the need to traverse long distances between meetings. In order to provide comprehensive support for the event, Jublia deployed some of our staff onsite to assist attendees firsthand.
In collaboration with Jublia 360° Engagement, the event introduced a robust meeting management system to enable attendees to secure these meetings in advance. Through this digital platform, attendees gained access to high-quality content, allowing them to explore all participants and promptly schedule their meetings. The digital solution was widely embraced by all attendees, resulting in impressive platform adoption rates. This, in turn, had a positive ripple effect on content impressions and meeting requests.
Behind its impressive statistics, all participants showed how much they highly value the possibility of directly connecting with each other professionally in a structured 1-on-1 meeting.
One of the primary agenda for participants prior to event days was to schedule meetings with like-minded individuals. This greatly enhanced the attendee experience and allowed them to better plan their days.
What truly exceeded the expectations, however, was the attendees' eagerness to engage in one-on-one onsite meetings, in addition to attending the numerous sessions scheduled at the event. Throughout the event days, the number of meeting requests surpassed a thousand, underscoring the attendees' enthusiasm for in-person meetings at the venue.
As an academic event, it served not only as a gathering place for business professionals but also as a melting pot for academic practitioners and active students. The onsite meetings played a pivotal role as a platform for the exchange of ideas, knowledge sharing, and discussions of significant issues. This helped bridge the gap between seasoned professionals and those just starting out, infusing the event with energy and vitality. During these face-to-face meetings, the parties involved could engage in more meaningful conversations and address any questions they had, thereby enhancing their knowledge.
Every attendee found their place and felt welcomed there, regardless of their academic or career background. This sense of belonging heightened the authenticity and value of their event experience.
Amidst the plethora of statistics and tangible results used to evaluate the event's success, attendee satisfaction stands out as one of the most crucial indicators. It reflects the quality of their experience during the event, and it's evident that the participants have expressed high levels of satisfaction.
The organizers' clearly defined objectives from the outset were met with enthusiastic approval from the attendees, who displayed an unexpectedly strong interest in direct meetings.
